Rechargeable Wireless Mouse
The little USB receiver is inside the mouse. It rides under a cover at the back of the underside, so if you opened the box and went looking for it, it was there all along. After that, the only thing to get right is the switch underneath - it decides how the mouse connects.
Start here
- The receiver is under the back cover
- Turn the mouse over. The cover at the back of the underside slides off along the arrow printed on it, and the receiver lifts out. Clip the cover back on, plug the receiver into a USB-A port on your computer, and slide the switch to 2.4G. There is no software and nothing to install.
- The switch decides
- Underneath, three positions: BT connects directly,
OFF is the middle one, and 2.4G uses the
receiver. At 2.4G the mouse only listens to the receiver; at BT it only talks
directly.
Moved it to another computer and it stopped working? Check the switch first. It is the answer more often than anything else.
- Connecting directly, no receiver
- Slide the switch to BT, open the add-a-device menu on your computer, phone or tablet, and choose "KS KMS02W". It connects within a few seconds. If a different name appears while nothing else nearby is pairing, that is this mouse.
- Moving it to a different device
- It remembers one device at a time, and there is nothing to reset. Turn wireless off on the old device, then slide the switch to OFF and back to BT next to the new one. It appears in about three seconds.
- Pointer too fast, or too slow
- The two small buttons behind the wheel set how far the pointer travels when you move your hand. One steps it faster, the other slower, through three settings. Big screen? Go faster. Fine work in a photo or a spreadsheet? Go slower.
- The cable only charges
- The USB-C cable charges the battery and nothing else - plugging it in will not make the pointer move. Use the receiver or connect directly.
- Charging, and what the lights mean
- Plug the USB-C cable into the front of the mouse and into a computer port or
any 5 V USB charger. A blue light glows around the scroll wheel
while it charges and goes out when the battery is full.
A dimming red light underneath, or a pointer that turns sluggish or jumpy, means it is time to charge. There is no connection light. Slide the switch to OFF at the end of the day to save charge.
- Lost the receiver?
- Check every USB port on the computer you used last, and the bag the mouse
travelled in - a receiver that has been plugged in for months is easy to stop
seeing.
If it really is gone, write to us and say it is for the KMS02W. Receivers are made for their own product, so a spare from a keyboard or an office supply store will not work.

Questions
What devices work with the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse?
It works with Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. The receiver needs one free USB-A port; a laptop with only USB-C ports can connect directly and skip the receiver.
How do I connect the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse to my phone?
Straight to your phone or tablet: slide the switch on the bottom to BT and pick the mouse from your device's add-a-device screen, with no receiver needed. For a computer with a USB-A port, the 2.4 GHz receiver is plug-and-play. The middle switch position is off.
Can I use the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse with a cable?
No. The USB-C cable charges the battery but does not carry mouse movement, so the mouse always talks to your computer over the receiver or a direct wireless connection.
Do I need to install any software or drivers to use the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse?
No software or drivers needed. With the receiver: slide the cover at the back of the underside off along its arrow, lift the receiver out, plug it into a USB-A port, and slide the switch to 2.4G. Directly: slide the switch to BT, open the add-a-device screen on your computer or tablet, and pick the mouse from the list.
Are batteries needed for the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse, and are they included?
No batteries to buy. A 300 mAh rechargeable battery is built in, and it charges over the included USB-C cable from a computer USB port or any standard 5 V USB charger.
What can the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse do?
Five buttons: left, right, the scroll wheel click, and two buttons behind the wheel that step the tracking speed up and down through 800, 1200 and 1600 DPI.
Would the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse make a good gift?
It arrives ready to use with the battery built in, so it works as a gift with nothing to assemble and nothing extra to buy. Officially licensed, with the artwork printed across the top cover.
Is there a warranty on the Rechargeable Wireless Mouse?
Yes -- it's backed by a one-year Keyscaper warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. For warranty claims or product questions, email support@keyscaper.com or use the contact form at keyscaper.com, both reach the same place.
